The stall called Sitsirya sells different kinds of delicacies and these are the things that we bought from them:
Pastillas de Leche is a type of soft candy made from carabao's milk and coated with sugar. I remember these candies used to be as big as an adult's thumb, but the ones inside the box are just about the size of a baby's thumb.
When I was a child, my brother's girlfriend used to bring home several boxes of this sweet treats when ever she goes to her hometown. I remember the smell, smoothness and the taste only too well. Sitsirya's version may not have it down to a tee, but I would say, it still tastes good.
Another box of delicacy that got us hooked was the Barquiron de Casuy. It's made from toasted powdered milk with some cashew bits which are then put inside the thick wafer sticks. It's barquillos and polvoron rolled into one!
A box of this delectable barquiron sells for Php 100 (roughly $2.00). But with the 15 sticks of barquiron inside the box and the taste, I would say that it's all worth the money.
