I was fortunate enough to receive an invitation from Mega Publishing for the launch of the Appetite Restaurant Festival 2011 which happened yesterday.
I arrived at the venue early so I had the chance to take a photo of the set up which was basically a blank canvass.

What was the celebration about?
Well, it's the 7th anniversary of Appetite Magazine. Together with Shangri-La Plaza and Mastercard, Appetite launched the Restaurant Festival 2011. This event will be on from the 14th of October to the 30th of November.
Restaurants participating in the event have special menus which include appetizers, entrees and dessert. These specially created menu sets are all under the Php1,000 range; these great money savers would allow you to enjoy great dishes from these restaurants: Cafe Provencal, Claw Daddy, Cravings, Crustasia, Cyma, C2 (Classic Cuisine), Green Tomato, Lemongrass, Pages Deli, Pepper Lunch, Pho Hoa, Secret Recipe and Sing Hainenese Chicken!
Aside from low priced dishes, you can also get additional treats from C2, Claw Daddy, Green Tomato, Lemongrass, Pages Deli, Pho Hoa and Secret Recipe by presenting a special coupon which you can find inside the November issue of Appetite Magazine along with an order of any of the sampler Appetite Menu. These coupons would also be available at the concierge of the Shangri-La Plaza.
As if these are not enough, you can also avail of free parking when you use your MasterCard to spend a minimum of Php1,000 which includes purchasing any of the Appetite Menu from the participating restaurants.

I thoroughly enjoyed the event. Not only did I get to see my good friend Jenn of Tara Let's Eat, but I also got to talk to some other bloggers around the food scene. Good company, great dishes and wonderful organization made the event one that I am looking forward to. By the way, the review of the food would be cut into quite a number of parts since it would take a whole day for me to talk about all the wonderful dishes that each restaurant served at the event yesterday.
After the event, guests were given a goodie bag each which included a copy of the October issue of Appetite Magazine. I was able to leaf through it today while typing this post and this I can promise you dear readers: I would try some of the recipes on the magazine and I will be more than happy to share them with you.
