Pasta, one of my favorite dishes. Chicken - a great ingredient for a lot of dishes. Mix them together and there's something new brewing in the kitchen.
What you need:
1K pasta (cooked according to package instructions)
1 medium onion finely chopped
5 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of basil leaves (finely chopped)
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1K chicken breast fillet (diced) or 1/2K ground chicken
1 small pouch of pineapple tidbits
1 pouch of tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
What to do:
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, then saute garlic and onions. When the onions are caramelized, add the chicken. Once the chicken is cooked, add tomato sauce - simmer for 5 to 10 minutes (depending on how thick you want the sauce to be). Add the pineapple (with the syrup) and basil - simmer again for another 5 minutes.
Serve on top of cooked pasta and top it with grated cheese
