I've been on a Korean food binge for the last couple of months. The reason for this love for traditional Korean food is because of my love affair with spicy meals. I've tried quite a few Korean restaurants and here's a real find: Mr. Kimbob.
It's not as expensive as your sit down restaurants, but the servings are quite big and definitely edible.
For the bibimbap, they have two sizes, regular and large. It is served on hot plate with rice, veggies, kimchi, your meat of choice (chicken, pork or beef) and a sunny side up egg. I wanted to buy a separate order of japchae (glass noodles) as a side dish, but the meal that we included a small order of it along with a regular sized drink.
I took a photo of the food before we started to mix them all together because it looked a little bit better when the ingredients are separated. But don't be fooled by the looks of it once you start mixing them, because the taste trumps the looks. The food speaks for itself.
Don't be disheartened when you see a long line forming at the counter, the food is inexpensive, fills you up and something that tastes good, that's a good combination.
